ABM Recipes from www. ClickonCuernavaca.com
Buying bread in Mexico is something else. In this the land of the Tortilla, good bread is hard to find. Rolls ditto, Here are some recipes that I have tried and really like. I have tested hundreds of different recipes and most either taste like something I already have or I just didn't care for. Right now I have over 50 recipes in my to try file. Hmm thats one a week for the next year. Oh well. This is a collection of recipes that I like and that I want to make again. Some like the Pumpernickel, and the rye bread are the results of testing many many recipes before finding something that tastes like the bread you would buy in a Jewish bakery. The Onion braid is one of my favorites I modified that for the ABM from a recipe in a Pillsbury contest. If you live in Mexico, its very difficult to find good flour. The best thing to do is find a bakery supply store, they are delighted to sell you 5 or 10 kilos of flour. Most sell granulated yeast in the small vacuum sealed package. Or you can try Sam's club, The flour is cheap and good but you have to buy a huge bag.
