Pico de Gallo

 

1 large white onion, peeled, diced
5 whole jalapeno peppers, washed, stems removed, diced
2 large tomatoes, washed, cored, diced
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
Salt to taste
Garlic powder or fresh minced garlic to taste

Tortilla chips

In a medium bowl, combine the onion, jalapenos, tomatoes, cilantro and tomato sauce. Season to taste with salt and garlic powder or add fresh garlic. Serve with tortilla chips.

Makes 8 servings.
