Cheesecake Brownies

This is not a real fancy looking desert.  But it is very easy to make and it tastes great.  Its one of my favorite deserts.

1/2 cup   Margarine (stick Margarine that has been softened)
1 Box      German Chocolate cake mix  (Other choc can be used)
1 Large   Egg
1 Cup      Chopped Walnuts

8 oz.       Cream Cheese
1 Cup      Sugar  *
2 Large   Eggs
1 tea       Vanilla Extract

In a large bowl combine cake mix, egg, butter and chopped nuts.  Mix well, will be very stiff.  Press into a greased 13x9 pan and set aside.

Combine topping ingredients in another bowl and beat until smooth.

Carefully spread over batter.

Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

Store in refrigerator.

 * I am not sure where I originally got this recipe from.  But I saw another version of it called Gooey Brownies it was exactly the same except they called for 1 box of confectioners sugar instead of the one cup.  This would double the sugar in the cheese toping.  I think the kids would really like this.   But I am sticking with the one cup.
